Camera degli Scarlatti
This room’s name recalls the precious scarlet-coloured tapestries that covered the walls in the 16th century. From this same time period is the frieze painted by the Dossi brothers with putti and ancient-style busts, the fresco above the fireplace depicting a landscape with an astronomer, and the majestic coffered ceiling, redone in part during the restoration.
