This is the official entrance to the Magno Palazzo that is reached coming from Castelvecchio, passing through a corridor decorated with a Madonna and Child by Fogolino and friezes by the Dossi brothers, then by crossing an external covered passage. In the centre of the vestibule’s entirely frescoed ceiling, is the stuccoed cardinal coat of arms of Bernardo Cles, surrounded by a garland of leaves and fruit carried in triumph by flying putti. The pictorial decoration, carried out between 1531 and 1532 by Dosso Dossi and his brother Battista, also includes a series of lunettes with the Olympus divinities framed by elegant stucco of Mantovanian mastery.
