On the vault of the first room is the fresco of the Triumph of the Christian Faith, depicted standing in a chariot pulled by the symbols from the Evangelists, crushing the “infidel” Turk. Surrounding the central panel, portrayed within medallions, are the protagonists of the military ventures against the Ottoman Empire during the 17th century (Pope Innocent XI, Emperor Leopold I, Charles V Duke of Lorraine and Maximillian Emanuel Duke of Bavaria); the cities of the Hapsburg Empire liberated from the enemy’s occupation are depicted in the lunettes below.
In the adjacent room is the Minerva banishing the Sins back to Hell, while in the lateral ovals painted in yellow ochre are the cardinal virtues along with mythological events. Half-length busts of people from antiquity, famous for their virtue, are represented in the lunettes. The Prince-Bishop Francesco Alberti Poja coat of arms stands out among the many other stuccoed works.
